Hello, I have a quick simple question... I'm settin up my first tank, nothing special, just a small 5 gal. I'm just gonna put a betta in it and 2 african dwarf frogs. I have no patience to cycle this tank, and absolutely no place around here sells bio-spira. Will the fish/frogs survive? I know people that keep bettas in those little bowls and never do any type of cycling, and they do a complete water change, so is it safe to assume the betta would survive? What about the frogs?

I'd appreciate any help, I'm trying to do the research before getting my pets, and want them to be healthy.

This place ships bio spira, if that is an option:

Some people say that the bio spira is a little on the expensive side, but if you look at the price of it compared to the money you would have to spend replacing fish or frogs or whatever if you just threw them in and said "good luck," it makes more sense. To me, if someone doesn't care about having to replace fish, they shouldn't be keeping them in the first place

Yeah, start with the betta and let the tank run with him for a week or so with good water changes using a good dechlorinator.

Also make sure you get african dwarf frogs and not clawed frogs by mistake as they will grow large and rip the betta apart.
