Just clearing up the last of the X-Mas trash and found the box my Mini came in. Have you seen this?
"Wait 24 hours and then add the fish to your tank. Be sure to let store personnel know the tank size so the appropriate number of fish for the tank are chosen."

Huh?

"Here are a few fish you may consider...
Goldfish
Small Barbs
Guppies
Cory Catfish
Betta
Danios
Dwarf Gourami"

Yeah, kids! Put a couple goldfish or a school of Danios in it!!

You'd think a company that manufactures aquariums (All-Glass) would know better

Some yahoo in marketing dreamed that up and probably never kept a freaking fish in their life.

And it is info on those boxes that unfortunatly teaches a lot of fish store employees. They read that and figure it must be right.

In this day of easy lawsuites I am surprised that they recommend specific fish in printing.

Well the goldfish is a little bit too poopy for that size tank, but the other guys would be okay. It's not that bad really.

"It tastes like grandma."

When i bought my first tank I got the same advice from the LFS clerk:

Fill it, add your bacteria. Let it run for 24 hours and come get your stingray.
(Yes, now I confess: my first fish was an stingray).

I took the Whisper Micro filter out and replaced it with a Red Sea Nano. Its like a mini Aqua-Clear; matter of fact, I took one of the sponges out of my A-C and put it in the RS. Looks a lot better, a clear tube instead of the big black thing. I'll use the Whisper as a secondary/back-up somewhere else.

I put 4 ghost shrimp in today. Still needs something. How about 2 male guppies? I'm not sure I want another male betta yet, I'm still broke up about the loss of Ghoti.

not any usefull information but i just wanted to add i think female guppies look cooler than the males do or at least mine do
