Not gonna garner alot of support I think... the best should win regardless of whether it's reef or plant. A nice planted tank is just as tough to achieve as a nice SW setup. Can't we all just get along?

Now, planted tanks are pretty cool, but no where near as awesome as a nice reef tank....
However, I voted for a planted tank in this case...

Hmmm.. planted tank.. around $1000 .. same tank in reef form.. $10,000.. not the same at all. I can appreciate a planted tank.. actually really considering setting one up myself because I missed that phase.. went right from FW w/ plastic plants to SW/Reef. Planted wasn't really popular or an option when during my FW days.. but now, sad to say as a reefer, it is pulling me in to build one myself. Argh.. I had to vote for #8.. very nice planted tank. Reminds me of a bonzai tree.

some planted tanks are very beautiful....but im afraid they dont come close to a well maintained reef...in my opinion of course
