Hey Guys
I Just wanted to Share my 10 gallon tank. Its the first one My husband and I have had together.
So far it has 4 Platies in it. Some time this week we are planing on getting 2 more Platies And 2 Black Mollies. Plus a Small army of 6 or so ghost shrimp. We have some Ludwigia growing in there that I collected from a local pond nearby.
Any ideas on how we can improve the tank would be much appreciated.
Here are some pictures of the tank

I don't know what would improve on it, but it looks great.

Personally I've never used a background. My 29g is against a dark green wall, and my 180g is against a brighter green wall. (I went a little wild with my interior color palette.) For me the colored walls are enough, but if I had to use a background, I'd go with a plain black one for the same reason you stated.

The tank looks really good, but I wouldn't add the mollies. It's pretty well stocked at 4 platies alone. Granted you can go a little over when you have live plants, but just maybe go with the platies. Mollies are larger and tend to do better in spaces bigger than 10 gallons. They tend to get overly aggressive in their interactions when in smaller tanks.
