So a few weeks ago I was reading a thread about one of our members buying a bowl from livewithnature.net and thought it would be a nice gift bday gift for my mother in law who loves Bettas. So I ordered her the Rainbow luminous and I took it over to her house on friday. I wasn't able to get her a Betta then because all the lfs' I went to in her neighborhood really didn't have any that were in good condition. I would've picked one of those up but I didn't want it to die since she recently just lost one that she had for about 6years. So finally today I got around to picking one up at the Petsmart in spanish harlem it was real random I had never been there I was supposed to be at costcos shhh...lol

So here are a few pics of the Crowntail couldn't really get any clear ones of its fins because the container I bought at the 99 cant store isn't completely clear but I did get a few nice ones. :D

This is the bowl. This weekend I will get a pic of the actual bowl I recieved.

I have some tahitian moon sand and my wife picked up some glass pebbles what should I put at the bottom? It will have those floating plants and those two pieces of malaysian driftwood you see in the pics above.

Nice fishie!

Moon sand would probably be better. I've heard (don't know the validity) that bettas have been known to hurt themselves on large pebbles. Plus sand is so much cleaner looking an easier to care for.
