So I've tried cooked (boiled in water) Zucchini, but they didn't touch it, nor lettuce for the snails. I give them algae wafers. The other night, all fish were having a frenzy over one wafer & the big 'ol Pleco came over, snagged it up and swam off with it, lol.

I have a P. J. Pleco, Oto Cat, Shark, Dojo's.

Anything else I can try feed them? How to prepare it, sink it, etc?

Soak tubifex worms or bloodworms in a cup with aquarium water from the tank then pour em in the tank soaking helps them sink they should crazy over those too variety is good algae wafers all my fish go crazy for :).

I feed my fish Captain Bob's Sink or Swim fish foods. Did you say your fish were in a frenzy over an algae wafer? I have a food I call "Frenzy". PM for details.

I feed my bottom dwellers (plecos, catfish, loaches, snails) raw zucchini, stuck on the end of a fork so that it will sink. They also get earthworm stix, algae wafers, krill, froz bloodworms, froz brine shrimp, seaweed sheets, fresh, raw spinach, and shelled peas, cooked in water in a microwave for 1 minute. And shrimp pellets, mussel pellets, and Thera+ from New Life. I'm sure there is more, but it's a pretty good variety. Good luck.

Bloodworms don't make it to the bottom, other fish inhale it before it can reach the bottom.

you could use a turkey baster to get worms to the bottom.
I feed blanched cucumber, lettuce, green beans, zucchini, shelled peas, wafers, other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment.

cucumber and beans seem to be the favorites.

If you wait til after lights out, the bloodworms should make it to the bottom.

My otos (and snails) love slightly cooked green beans. I slice the bean lengthwise so the otos can get to the soft stuff immediately. They eat it from the inside out. :)

FYI, it did take two attempts. The first time, the snails went at it, but the otos never even sampled. Second time, they decided green beans are good stuff! Now a full size bean lasts maybe 24 hours in the tank.

my pleco and corys eat the algae wafers that i put in for them. Its funny watching the pleco try to deal with 15 other fish at once stealing his food. Thank good he's still a juvie ( barely 1.5 " ) and can't actually defend it yet. Anyways, try the bloodworm method mentioned above, as I've heard that almost every type of fish likes them!!! (Don't know about plecos tho)

I was more interested in knowing what 'people' food I can feed them, not wafers and the such. Wafers are expensive and all fish eat them, I wanted to find something the bottom dwellers would have a better chance of peacefully eating.
