Just thought I'd share a few pics of my favorite pleco:clap:

This is a pic of the trio that I used to have. I had lots of hiding places but the larger one killed the smaller one and injured the mid-sized one all in one night. Now I just have the larger one.


 
Beautiful! Sorry you lost the others, some plecs are very territorial. Is it the L014 that's the smaller of the "gold nuggets"? I can't remember ATM.
 
Well, sounds like you got stuck with a naughty one, but he sure looks nice!

Nope not a gold nugget. These get about 14" with huge heads. The nice thing about them is when they get bigger they get even more spots and the coloration stays pretty much the same.

Yeah he's a mean one. The problem was I think I had all males, atleast the mid-sized one was a male. You really can't be sure what you sex you have till they get about 8" but this one is already showing bristles on his fins and has a "beard", which is sign of male. I wanted to be one of the few to breed them but I guess it is put off for awhile, $200 for an 8" female.

Oops, I guess I was thinking of L018. I've seen your kind, that's a good discription; big heads, big spots, big smooshy lips with teeth too? I need an on the glass shot if that's the case LOL.

You might have to wait for an on the glass shot cause he is very rarely on the glass.
Try planetcatfish.com for some good glass pics and also has some good shots of male and female comparisons as well as a decent profile.
