Just pull. I get java moss on my Micro swords all the time (I hate the stuff).
I sometimes run my fingers threw my plants like a "comb or a rake" and pull out the stands of Java Moss. I wish I never got the stuff. I pull out and throw away one large clump every week!!!!

I did some serious pruning of the java moss last night. AND thought about pulling it all.
I think I can groom my micro sword now, I was just hoping it would be easier. =)
