I am looking for a male LF BN pleco, just a regular brown (Deb, correct me if I'm wrong) to breed with my girl.

I have posted in the classified section willing to trade albino (red eyes) lf bn male for a lf brown male.. or outright buy a male from someone, just thought I'd throw it in here too =)

Just don't really know where to look for one, tried aquabid.. no go there.. so someone direct me! =D

I have a single brown male longfin, his fins are actually as long as I've ever seen. I got him a g/f from Debbie a while back, but she got stuck in the drain fitting on the tank and died. He's mature enough to spawn, but still not fully grown out yet. Shoot me a PM if you want the beast. If he stays around much longer he'll probably breed with my super red females since he's older/larger than the males.

Cool beans you two!!! That boy's gonna get his lady after all!!!!

Well the boy made it.. he's huge! and I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like when they are hitting off but here's a couple shots of them just now after the water change =)

Hopefully they will hit it off and have some kids! =)

Looks like she finds him attractive, or at least she's curious. Do you have a suitable cave for spawning?
Incidentally, he's not all that large. Subtract the excessive finnage and he's only about 2/3 the mass of my older BN pleco. His bristles still have some growing to do as well, but he's definitely big enough to boogie.

Well, I have 4 caves in there, I have 2 2" pvc pipes cut in half covered in rock, I have one 2" pipe capped , half burried inthe sane and I have a plastic salsa bowl that I got from walmart with a 1" hole cut in the side in there as well.. so hopefully somthing suits them.. I seen some good prices on some from ken's site.. maybe will get some new ones =)

Just a thought Ive seen one user here breed BN Plecos using a terra cotta pot upside down and with a piece broken off for entry. I would imagine u just need to do a quick filing of the broken edges and your set to go.

nice looking plecos. Can't wait to hear more when the time comes.

Thanks for sharing!
