Got the tank at an auction, then built the stand and canopy, was going to do pico reef (as I have some experience with saltwater), decided to go planted instead, and now I am but...
Unsure on what plants to get.
Dimensions we are working with is 12 inches by 6.25 by 6 tall, or roughly 2 gallon (less bc of driftwood) so I need smaller plants(well ones whos roots will fit) or moss..
and lighting is a 13W 5000k right off an eclipse 12, so we need to work with that in mind as well.
Do you think this qualify me for high light plants, or am I still a bit short (I was when using the formula and lumens).
As far as C02, I have some nutrafin one someone gave me, so aside from the bubble counter it came with, it's not much better than DIY...Should I even run it, or is it an overkill for a 2 gallon, esp. considering the options for plants that may/may not be available for such a tank, which like I said am unaware of at this time.
As far as other nutrients, I have plant gro by nutrafin, green and grow by mydor, and also flourish tabs by sea chem..(all this also given to me)..are these liquid fertilzers and the tabs good enough in terms of required elements, or do I need dry/different ones instead? Obvious I plan on taking down the dosage of all, since it is a smaller tank.
Also, can potassium permanganate and flourish be found at lowes or such? as I tried walmart with no luck.
Water I was going to run RO or distilled.
I really apologize for all these questions:banhim:, but these are the ones I am still having trouble with, even after reading quite a bit.
Thanks
