Hi Friends !

My Tanks details are as below-

Width: 120cm (47.24")
Height: 49cm (19.29")
Depth: 41cm (16.14")

241.08 liters, which is approximately 61.97 U.S. gallons.

I have a Tank Hood which came with the tank itself and has provision for 3 x 30W Flourascent Tubes. The Initial lights which came with the Tank were some normal tubes with Strong-Pinkish colored light.

Now I have replaced the 3 x 30W tubes with 3 x DYMAX AQUA SPECTRUM tubes which are also 30W. Its written as

1. "Full Light Spectrum"
2. "Maximize the Red and Blue fractions of the spectrum..."

Just wanted to know if these lights are good and better than the Pinkish lights which were installed initially ? Also do these lights seem good enough ?

Is the amount of light (3 x 30W = 90W) enough for my tank size ?

Kindly advice and guide me...
Thanks !
Kush

for what? plants? If thats the case then I doubt you could keep much of anything in the tank, Anubias, Java Vern, a few crypts should do moderatly well.

Oh ! I thought I had decent lighting now... is my light level too bad ?

Also wanted to ask if I can increase the wattage by replacing tubes with higher wattage tubes ? I mean will higher watts tubes fit in the same hood ?

Kindly advice...
Thanks !

Like CK said, you'll do ok with low-light plants, but don't expect crazy fast growth, and high-light plants are pretty much out. And yes, the new bulbs you got should be better for the plants, color-wise.
