Cool, good luck. I'm not too down, the pet store tank had soooo many females. I've just gotta find time to go up there.

any luck on getting a female? Dying to see the promised rescape!

I think I just had a bad batch.

Before I assume it was a "BAD BATCH" I would look into this

"On a side note, the ammonia/nitrite are 0, and I don't have a nitrate meter, but I imagine it's pretty bearable. The pH is about 6.8-6.9 and it's pretty soft water."

I would look into creating the IDEAL living situation by clearing up any problems with the water.
Around 80.6 degress
pH 6.5

Just get you a master test kit and be done with it.

so you won't be mailing me free fry?

sucks dude.
I'll still send you some blonde Endler's, God knows I have enough of them... They're a leucistic form of Endler (pure endler) and if they hybridize with a normal one, it'll produce normal endlers, but if that batch breeds together they will produce like 1/4 blonde fry. It's a recessive gene.

Actually, I did get a nitrate test, the water was between 0 and 10 ppm (the tank was cycled, but it held like 2 neons from before I got the rams. The water was pH 6.8, and at the place I got them, I imagine that it was at least 8 (it's a mountainous area). I kept the water at 81-83 degrees, and they can take much warmer.
