does anyone else have trouble with head counts in the planted tanks? Over the last few days I've been able to confirm all my cories and otos in my 36 bf. My rainbows and hatchetts don't hide.:goldfish:
 
I should have somewhere in the neighborhood of 26 fish in my 60G tank. I think there are 6 Oto cats, and 14 Siamese algae eaters. I can never count past 6 or 8 total.
 
Absolutely!

The only ones I can count are the breeder tanks. Other than that...no way to find em all. ;)
 
I spotted my SAE for the first time today in 2 weeks. 40 gallon tall...not all that populated with plants
 
I have four otos in a 12-gallon, but all I ever find in the open are the 2 newest. I know the other two are alive because if I do an intensive search, I can (usually) find them hidden among the leaves of the anubias.
 
i attempt a cory head count about once a week in my planted tank, lol.
 
you guys think that is tough? I have 5 otto's in my 250 and catching a glimpse of one of those is a challenge
