Alright, just wondering:

I'm aiming for an even distribution of CO2 in a 10 gallon tank - thus, even plant growth all over the tank.

I'm afraid that if I place the Hagen ladder in, say the right side of the tank, the plants on the right side will take more advantage of the CO2 than the plants on the other side, giving an unbalanced CO2 intake from plants and unbalanced growth.

Am I fine with leaving the ladder on one side of the tank? I really want all the plants in my tank to utilize the CO2 equally.
 
You should be fine. Unless you have intensely fast growing and thick plants, the CO2 will diffuse pretty evenly, particularly in that small of a tank.

I should note that the place I'm going to put the ladder is going to be basically smothered by Anacharis and Cabomba, if that changes anything.
 
As long as the water can flow around your plants, it'll move the co2 around. I'd want to place my diffuser near water flow so the enriched water can be distributed around my whole tank... I've never used a ladder, so am not 100% sure on how the last bubble exits, but this is my general thought on getting co2 to all of my plants. A powerhead may help if the area is very packed as you say.
 
I had mine placed on the left side of the tank which was actually opposite of where the HOB was. I didn't notice any growth differences in certain areas of the tank. Your fast growers will always grow faster that other plants regardless of ferts or CO2.

One word of caution with how you mentioned you were going to hide it. Make sure that the leaves of the plants don't interfere with the ladder. It will render it ineffective.

Oh...and if by chance you have Kuhlis...they'll find comfort on the rungs. ;)
 
hidden, unobstructed and accessible. you'll have to take it out and clean it periodically and the suction cups don't let go easy. don't want to fight that around delicate leafs. don't really want to see it during normal viewing once the bubbly new gadget feeling wears off. don't want leafs getting in the ladder cause they'll stop the bubbles making it useless. in a 10 gallon i'm not sure i'd even consider distribution.
