My female is doing better, the eye went back to normal two days ago, however she still has that sore underneath it.
I'm still doing daily water changes and medicating with Kanaplex.

great mod to your lil tank. one other suggestion though: change out that incandescent light to a spiral cfl. incandescent bulbs can heat up the water quite quickly!

I have one of those tanks and the bulb is very tiny. For whatever reason it does not seem to heat up the tank.

Excellent mod on the tank! Glad to hear your girl is doing better. Keep up the water changes and testing while the filter bacterial are getting established, and she should heal up soon, I hope! :)

You could also add a little aquarium salt to the water that might help. Continue water changes those are essential. Good luck hope she continues to get better.

Glad your girl is doing better - hope the sore is on its way to healing too!

One thing to keep in mind with your snails: "Mystery snails" (brigs/diffusa) ideally need about 2.5 gallons *each* as they get big (about the size of a golf ball) and, as already mentioned, are hugely messy creatures in that they poop a huge amount.
