I'm getting a 30g regular aquarium (3ft Long, 16in Tall) and it's going to have breeding rams and a few otos in there. It will be lightly planted and have at least 8in of free space on the top. Could I keep a single angel in there? I wouldn't want it to eat the ram fry, just stick to itself. I was going to kind of 'divide' the tank with decor so that all the fishies could find their own territory. If I can't have the angels, I'll get 2 pairs of rams instead, but I love all cichlids, and I think angels are pretty.

PS: My native pH is ~6.8.

As the others noted, if you want to keep the fry, don't do it. Or have enough hiding spots that they will be safe for a few days then siphon them out to raise in another tank, though likely you will lose a good share of them.

Would definitely eat the fry and MAY become very dominant in the tank, considering it his/her territory. I have given friends single angels before and gotten them back because once they matured they became aggressive to any other tank mate. That's not every angel but just giving you some food for thought.
