These are some of the Nerite snails that occupy one of my tanks (29 gallon, heavily planted). The tank is near a window and gets direct sunlight, so having enough algae to feed these snails is not a problem. I have also seen them eat vegetable flakes which I purchase from www.kensfish.com.

That is one of my favorites - he is a little shy and doesn't venture onto the glass that often.
