Anyone else have a pleco that does this?

Bushy nosed plecos will eat any driftwood in your tanks. That's why they spend so much time on them. They sometimes bypass the algae on the tanks to favor the driftwood. I took all mine out I just have stacked slate pcs held up by to other pcs of slate. Mine is always upside down under it but cleans my tank walls and decorations better since I remove the driftwood.

Wow, I have never seen my bn do that. Yours is beautiful by the way =P

@eileen: Umm...this could be outdated info, but when I was researching them before I got mine, most websites/caresheets recommended having driftwood for a bn to rasp on.

Driftwood is essential to quite a few different plecos diet.

Three hours after I posted that I've never seen that, my plec makes a liar out of me. He must have been secretly reading AC while I was in the shower.

yup, mine do it from time to time..

mostly the albino males.

lol
first time I saw it I thought it was dead..then saw a couple more do it.

lol

Huh, I'll have to see if my L387s do this. I guess I've never paid much attention to them, so maybe I missed it.
