I just ordered a pair of Halfmoon Plakats and would really like to breed them. I've researched everything and anything about breeding Bettas. The only thing I can't find for sure is: Is a constant temperature of 70 degrees okay for a breeding betta?
I only have a really small flat heater in a 3 gallon picotope I have set-up for breeding. It keeps the temperature at a constant of 70 degrees, should I go to the LFS before the get here and buy a heater?
I'm 13 and my I get paid 5 bucks per A in school, so I'll get $30 on Thursday. I hope this is enough to set up the tank the way they should be. Yes, the tank is cycled and everything with some gravel from my 30 gallon to kickstart everything. The fish don't ship until November 22nd so that should give me time to make a trip to the store. Maybe even Petco.
