Am i overstocked?

For a 100 gallon (72 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 19 3/8 inches) I want to have 5 clown loaches, 4 bala sharks, 3 senegal bichirs, 3 ropefish, 1 RTB shark, 2 common sailfin plecos, 3 pictus cats, 2 angels, 1 blood parrot, 1 firemouth, 1 severum, 1 blue gourami, 4 silver dollars. Is it overstocked? I wouldn't be getting them all at once (only ones I currently have are the plecos) and they'd all be babies when I got them.

Would the pictus, blue gourami, and RTB shark get eaten by the senegals/ropes? If there's any possibility of that I won't put them in this tank.

The blue gourami will be fine with the ropefish but I am sure your senegal bichir would attempt to deathroll the gourami and eat it. Senegals along with many other species of bichirs are notorious for deathroll activities when they ambush a prey.

The pictus catfish will work just fine with both but your RTBS might not stand a chance with your senegal bichir especially as this fish is far too slender and may be ambushed if the bichir seizes its opportunity.

You have too many bottom dwellers already. I would simply remove the pictus catfish, RTBS, clown loaches and plecos out of the tank and stick to polypteridae if you really want to keep your ropefish and senegal bichirs.

Also in my opinion, I would cut down the stocks of the top to middle levels by removing the bala sharks. They just take up too much space and their hyperactive behavior will do your other fish no favor with their constant swimming around.

How about this?

100-5 clowns, 2 common plecs, 3 pictus, 1 RTB, 2 angels, 1 severum, 1 firemouth, 1 blood parrot, 1 blue gourami, 4 silver dollars

90-4 balas, 3 senegals, 3 ropes

I know the balas will eventually get too big for the 90, but by that time I'll be able to upgrade.

Personally, I prefer to buy for the tanks I have, not for the tanks I might have one day. Just a suggestion.
 
Yeah, but the only big tanks I have now is a 55 and 65. I'm just planning for future tanks because Craigslist has big tanks for great prices all the time, so it'll be no problem getting a couple.
 
I read somewhere that the way some people raise senegals/ropes is starting them out in a 10g and then upgrading to a 20L when they get 6 inches long and then upgrading again once they grow a few more inches. They say they do this so that they won't have a hard time finding food. Will I need to do that with my future senegals/ropes or do they find food fine in larger tanks? I don't really mind either way, just want to make sure raising them in small tanks isn't bad for them.
 
Maybe I won't get bala sharks then. I really love them though and they're one of my favorite fish :( Maybe one day... but I don't think right now I hav space for a 6X2X2 tank just for a few fish.
