Here are some photos of me and my friend trying to catch freshwater pipefish in Dniester river. these are actually marine species, but they have been invading rivers lately and now are living and breeding in complete freshwater. these are Syngnathus nigrolineatus or black lined pipefish

I looked them up and the iucn red list site lists them as least concern and that their natural habitats include marine, brackish and fresh. Obviously they can deal with a range of conditions.
