What's the best way to sift sand in a brackish tank? I know there are lots of potential sand sifters out there for marine aquariums, but there aren't a ton for a low-end brackish tank. I don't want any dead spots in the substrate, so is there any way to manually sift the sand? If not, what are some potential fish or invertebrates I could get that'll help with that?

If your substrate layer is thin enough, it will just get stirred with normal gravel vacuuming.

What exactly are you worried about?
