Zebra Nerite out of tank

My Zebra nerite crawled out of the tank and I hunted high and lo but could not find. I finally saw him night before last in a place I know I've looked several times before. He has been out of the tank at least 3 weeks. I know he has a trap door but is the trap door hard or softer? I touched it and it is very hard, I don't want to try and move it. How long can they be out of water? I've read where they can be out awhile but nobody has said for how long exactly...at least I haven't seen that info. Think he's dried up in his shell? I have him in a baggie with tank water floating in the tank.

Likely DOA put him in a plastic container with high humidity. In the bag he will likely drowned.

most likely dead. i would just toss it back in the tank and see.

Thats what i do. If the shell is gone in a couple days, its not dead...
